Taking notes during OCI interview

So is it not acceptable to take notes during the interview? I am really trying to have a conversation and learn about their firm. It'd be a lot easier to remember these things if I could jot down a few notes.

It will look really odd to take notes during the interview. Walk out, sit down, and write down everything you can remember.

It's supposed to a conversation w natural/healthy eye contact. If anyone will be taking notes it's your interviewer. What you should do is if he/she says you should contact so and so then write that down. But what are you planning on writing about? what they tell you about the firm? you are already supposed to know this. You should have studied the firm well enough to not take notes.

Yeah I'd be weirded out if an interviewee were writting things down. I'd be like - what the hell could he possibly need to have in writing from MY interview of HIM? Is he drawing me?

Oh man, what a weird question.

Ok, so I jotted down the name of a restaurant (on the cover of the firm folder I was given, with the pen I was given) because the interview had gone into "casual chat" mode and the interviewer was REALLY REALLY enthusiastic that I needed to try a certain place. But I'd never open up my padfolio and take serious notes in an interview!

I would assume that he was building a discrimination case against me.
In any case OP, as a long TLS-er, there was a person once claiming that they took notes in interviews, and that they read their questions from prepared paper they had.
Nevertheless, taking notes on an interview sounds like an extraordinarily awful idea, as bad as they can get.
