I've noticed that the NALP directory has "practice group names." Most of these names don't match the listings of "practice groups" on the firm's websites. I know a lot of firms don't list their actual practice group names on their websites. Are the NALP directory names accurate?

I would go by the firm website, since that is what the firm wants to call the practice area. It may be the NALP has a list or something that they select from or something along those lines. Whatever the reason, I don't think you can go wrong using the terms the firm does (unless the website hasn't been updated in 10 years, in which case there is a chance that they renamed a group).
