Rumor is that this is actually possible. Do any big firms actually pay less than 50k? How pervasive is this practice among seemingly legitimate 100+ atty firms??

Maybe for staff attorneys but definitely not pervasive for NLJ 250s. Of the 220 or so I know off the top of my head the only one that might even get close to that is possibly Fragomen.

Some on the smaller side pay 80k or 100k, but I don't know of too many lower than that. The lower ones are going to be in markets where the money goes pretty far, generally.
