I have a meeting with an attorney over lunch. What type of questions do you ask at these meetings?

Nice job taking lunch meetings.

Thank them for 1

1) career path and how they got there
2) firm or job specific stuff and what they do
3) recommendations for you
4) Other people you should talk to (based on interests and his/her work)
5) Small talk

It depends on the person - there's no one size fits all, but avoid making it an interview. Also, attorneys love to talk, so you'll have no problem filling time.

Learn to have a conversation.... is that a joke. Your chosen path in life is a lawyer.... be a real person, why did you contact this person, ask questions
