I realized I may have uploaded the wrong resume into Symplicity (the old version it doesn't have my journal or summer internship on it). Obviously I want to send some kind of amendment and have already asked out OCS how to do this. This is basically just for my own sanity. Has anyone had experience sending a revised resume after sending the wrong one? Thanks

Did you just bid or did you actually email the resume? If you just bid you can cancel the bids and resubmit them.

If it's already gone out the door, wait a few weeks, then email recruiters your "updated résumé". Include details about your summer job, and make it appear like a genuine update rather than a colossal fuck up

At my school, career services encouraged us to send out emails early this month and then send send an update once journal stuff is released. You can do the same. Not a big deal

Proofreading and performing tasks meticulously are great skills that any aspiring lawyer should develop.

Nevertheless, most employers know the documents on symplicity are not current. Just bring in an updated resume with you to your screeners and you should have no problems.

I would find a reason to update it and resend to the attention of the recruiting coordinators. Part of the problem with leaving some of that stuff off is possibly getting automatically weeded out of screeners in the first place.

Doing it now is basically saying "I fucked up", which implies "I'm a fuck up"
Waiting until OCI is probably a bad idea, for reasons pointed out here.
Maybe the best time for an update is half-way between now and OCI?

What kind of OCS does your school have? It might not be a big deal if firms can't reject you. At CLS, every interviewer would ask for an updated resume when I first sat down with them. Some attorneys glossed over my resume before the interview, but I'm fairly certain that a lot hadn't looked at the resume at all and just used the new one I gave them. So I don't think it would have mattered if the old one was missing stuff.
