What kind of firms am I realistically looking at?

Which Loyola?

If the one in Chicago, places like Kirkland/Skadden are out.

Sorry, Loyola in Los Angeles.

I have a friend there who did well (at least in the top 10%), bidding on firms as high as Skadden and Kirkland, etc. But the bids were due either yesterday or today, and their OCI is preselects, so idk how it's all gonna turn out.

Skadden is one of the few firms that actually is interviewing at Loyola through OCI. Just sayin'.

I'm assuming it is for show. I don't think Skadden has taken someone from Loyola in the past two years IIRC. I know for a fact that Kirkland has not taken anyone from Loyola in the last two years.

Chicago Loyola or Loyola Marymount? I mean, Skadden also comes to the latter OCI.

It's not for show - there were 3 summers last year from Loyola that are starting at Skadden LA this fall.

Definitely realistic. Go for it, you've got a solid shot with top 5%.

There are at least 2 people from there in my summer class (maybe 3) and it's a GREAT firm in Los Angeles. Your prospects are good.
