Everyone just get that Applicant Self-Identification email from Sidley? Trying to figure out if this was from my EIW interview and just very delayed or if I'm still under consideration for a second office I applied to later.

I got one of those from Arnold & Porter after I was dinged. I wouldn't read too much into it, but it could be a good sign. Are you URM by any chance?Anonymous User wrote:Everyone just get that Applicant Self-Identification email from Sidley? Not to try and resurrect a 3 days dead thread, but has anybody heard anything from OCS about the resume book submissions yet? I know they sent it out a few days back, and apparently have multiple rounds of it that they're sending to firms that failed to fill their classes (mythical beasts, somewhat like unicorns). Not sure if I should hold out hope on them ever paying off or if I should just start trying to figure out what a 2L who strikes out completely at life needs to do to get back on the PILC train.

You're not resurrecting a dead thread. We're in this together, have school pride, and want to see our fellow classmates succeed. I love seeing our thread on the front page.Anonymous User wrote:Not to try and resurrect a 3 days dead thread, but has anybody heard anything from OCS about the resume book submissions yet? As for the resume book, I know Bickel & Brewer is conducting interviews on October 24th. They contacted NYU students late last week who were included in the resume book submissions. Hopefully this is a good sign of more mythical-beast-unicorn firms to come.
You have not struck out completely at life. Look at the recent comeback wins by the Red Sox and Pats (not that I like Boston sports teams), and check out the other threads where callbacks and offers are still trickling in. The game is starting to wind down, but it ain't over till it's over. Good luck!

I'm still without an offer. A few silent firms but I'm sure they just forgot about me.
Anyone with some hopeful information?

Also in this boat (not OP)--weird timing coincidence. Offers definitely still trickling in. Friend of mine didn't get his offer until mid-November last year.Anonymous User wrote:first offer came in yesterday. hang in there!!
(for people who asking about market: mine was Boston--not a satellite office, friend's from last year was NYC--also not satellite)

Good to know there is still some activity. Gives hope to those of us (and there are plural of us) who still are empty-handed.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:+1. Please tell us which market? was it a satellite office? Big SA class?

Its really, really hard. As someone on the Penn OCI thread eloquently put it, "Studying for finals as a 2l without a job. This might be the lowest and worst experience of my life."Anonymous User wrote:How are people who haven't found anything holding up? Have friends still nabbing callbacks with firms. Just dropping by to try to be encouraging as finals roll around.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
