so are mass mailings (e-mail) done to firms which WERE at OCI too? i just ask because wouldnt that be sending your info twice?

any opinions would be appreciated

Yes. Not really because firms only have limited numbers of interview slots at OCI and they don't always get to interview every candidate they want to.
