How important is it to attend those workshops/interview tips held by big law firms like Skadden? A good networking opportunity with chances to get an interview or its just bs and waste of time. Anybody have first hand experience of whether to attend or not?

It really depends. It can't hurt to go, but don't expect too much. I knew a 1L who got a SA job from a Skadden networking event.
