December graduate and public defender jobs (CPCS)

Post by Anonymous User » Sun May 12, 2013 5:13 pm

I am a 2L at a law school in Massachusetts. I am probably going to graduate in December 2014 because I need to take a semester off to have surgery/recovery from said surgery. I want to be a public defender when I graduate. Due to family concerns, I will need to stay in MA after I graduate. It sounds like hiring for CPCS is focused on a September start date.

Anyone knows if CPCS hires mid-year grads or hires grads 9 months after graduation? I kinda can't put this surgery off for much longer, and I won't be able to make up enough credits to graduate in May 2014.
