A big law multi-office firm posted a job in a state that the bar exam deadline passed. Do you think they would let me interview and take that bar in Feb? Or no? Thanks.
No I don't feel like outing the firm.

Never hurts to ask. Just e-mail the recruiter and say, "I'm really interested in this position, and I think I would be a great fit, but due to application deadlines I can't sit for XXX Bar until February. If that's a non-starter, I didn't want to waste your time by sending in materials."
Being barred in the state the office is in isn't life or death for biglaw. They'll have plenty of people to sign your work product and can use you in other ways until you're licensed.

Could it hurt? Apply. If they like you they'll wait until Feb. Especially if it's a big firm.

I feel like this might be something you broach after you take the offer. I ACCEPT. By the way I can't take this bar because the deadline is passed, I'll take the next one okay?
It's not that huge of a deal. DC associates take a really long time to waive in.

Thanks all. I was planning to email just like that but wanted to know if I was missing something obvious.
