I have 1 suit, 1 blazer, 3 wool slacks, 3 white shirts, 2 patterned dress shirts, and black shoes. Sufficient?

Sounds okay, but you're missing socks. Gotta have socks.
I'm in a similar situation, trying to figure out if 1 suit is enough.

Why the hell is this anonymous?

Also, do people even pretend to see what threads have already been created before starting a new one? For instance, this one is even on the first page!

What is your firm's dress code? Most firms are business casual, so one suit is enough, but you need lots of button down shirts, etc.

I don't want to be outed by other students who have memorized my wardrobe . . .

. . . but really I just don't want my classmates to know what a scrub I am.

And forgive me for not wading through the 167 page mega-thread.

Business casual. Do you think I'll need more shirts? I don't want to seem like I live in a few pieces of clothing (even though I do).

Let's start with the fact that pleats are never acceptable.

I'd recommend you go ahead and pick up another suit. You want to keep one complete suit (including shirt and tie) at your office in case an opportunity to go to court or meet a client materializes out of the blue. You don't want to have to tell a partner you can't sit in on his deposition because you're not dressed for it. You could keep your one suit at the office, but it would be annoying if you needed a suit for anything and had to go to the office to get it--also there may be a time you need to leave the house dressed for business for some reason.

Additionally, keeping a change of clothes at the office is good insurance against a freak mustard stain or some such.

Wool slacks kinda suck in the summer, but I guess there aren't many other options.

Heaven forbid that OP, you know, lengthen an existing thread when he could create his own.

Of your waist is +6 inches or more of your length, pleats are basically mandatory.

Not everyone lives on TLS. I'd rather shoot myself in the face than read 167 pages of posts on clothing, especially when there are other people willing to answer my question in two seconds. I really don't understand what the big deal is.

Protip: you don't have to read all 167 pages to tack on an answer at the end of the thread.

Are pleats really a problem?
