Pro Bono Work?

I am looking for a someone with knowledge of divorce law. I reside in Fort Lauderdale, FL and understand that sometimes students need to build their resume. In other words you need to build your credentials. Anyone willing to help a single mom with two kids?

A student taking a case without a license would be illegally practicing law and would subject themselves to never being able to qualify for a license after taking the bar. Call legal services, don't troll message boards.

Marmarbkny - only a lawyer with a license can practice law and give you legal advice.
If you can't afford one, call the Florida Bar Association at (850) 561-5600 and ask them where you can go for free or low-cost help with a divorce.
Okinawa - You could have been polite about it. Lay-people don't always understand the way the profession works. Our profession is about helping people. She came here asking for help, and while we know students can't give legal advice, she didn't. Public perception of lawyers is bad enough as it is. No need to make it worse by being rude to someone in need.
