Does anyone have any information or experience with this type of hiring? From what I have read it makes it seem like it makes jobs a lot easier to get but I haven't been able to find any first person accounts of using this process to search for a job. I'm 0L so I am sure I could talk to my employment office about this once I matriculated. I am considering waiting on LS if I can find a good job this way. Any info or helpful links are VERY appreciated.

my apologies. However it's there any place besides here that would be a good place to post that has the anon feature? Because this isn't a visible disability I would not like to be outed to my future classmates.

It really is mostly about legal employment. The thought of getting a job if I have an advantage really only stems from the tls school of thinking that I shouldn't even go to law school. The schedule A and affirmative action government practices for people with mental disabilities is somewhat new or at least received a big push last summer from Obama. It is part of the model employer model or something. I read an article in particular that spoke about lawyers specifically and how dumb and scary it would be to have them represent you. Sorry for the bump I just haven't found anything by searching and regardless thought this could help any TLSers with disabilities. I can post some links but I really do not want to break policy.

My brother has quadriplegia. Does anyone know if this will help him get a jerb? He just got his CPA. A;so, does anyone know if the being on parole for a major a felony like vehicular manslaughter would disqualify?

I worked in the fed system for a while and even oversaw hiring processes. Basically, if you don't have a sever disability (retardation, paralysis, loss of limb), then this won't help you much. Every other minor disability will be competing against veterans who have similar disabilities or worse. In most cases someone with a minor disability will be passed over for a disabled veteran simply due to the fact that the veteran helps give a bump for both disability and veteran hiring numbers.
