3L, interviewing for an entry-level position with a large regional bank holding company. Got the interview largely through networking (grades aren't spectacular).

Any tips for the interview? Is interviewing with a corporate legal department appreciably different from interviewing with a firm?

If you haven't done so, I would do a cursory overview of the regulations and laws that apply specifically to banks (I know there's a ton, but I have no idea what they are).

So, how does this work? Do you start working part-time or right after the bar exam? In my experience, most corporate legal departments don't like to wait.

I don't know. I think they may want me to start part-time if they hire me, but they haven't indicated as much to me yet.

I've read on some web pages that in-house interviewers often ask substantive law questions/hypos, but these web pages were about firm lawyers going in-house. Can anyone talk about a law school—in house interivew?
