Work experience at Public Defender. Effect on OCI?

I've read here that work experience is generally considered a positive at OCI. I have also read that too much of a public interest bent can be a negative.

I'm currently working as an in-house investigator at a well regarded PD office. By the time I leave to start school, I'll have worked here for two years. What impact might this experience have at OCI? If it's a potential negative how could I mitigate it?

My (wild) guess is that it would count as less of a positive than anything finance/business related, but maybe could be sold as a positive vs being K-JD, especially if I'm looking at litigation and make sure my resume doesn't end up seeming too PI focused.

Thanks in advance.
