Any other SA classes. I am particularly interested in Boston/NYC/D.C. Or pretty much anywhere.

No new data? I already posted, but most of my friends have gotten their summer class lists by now.

A lot more variance than my summer last year. Last year, 3/4 of the summers were from NYU, Columbia, Penn, and Harvard.Anonymous User wrote:Jones Day NYC

Also a Susman SA. How'd you get the full distribution? I can kind of tell from some of the email addresses, but not everything. Was it emailed out?

I don't know how accurate those numbers are, but I just went through about half of the V20 and all but TWO had decreased their expected SA class size, some very drastically.Anonymous User wrote:Nalp recently (?) posted the expected 2013 Summer Associate class sizes for a lot of places. My firm has 7 people this summer...6 on NALP 2013 "expected." Does this mean 1 no-offer?Anonymous User wrote:Nalp recently (?) posted the expected 2013 Summer Associate class sizes for a lot of places. Some are missing though. Hope that helps

If your firm has no-offered people in the past, then yes. Not flame. However, if your firm traditionally gives out 100% offers, you probably have nothing to worry about.Anonymous User wrote:My firm has 7 people this summer...6 on NALP 2013 "expected." Re: 2013 SA Class Sizes, School Distributions, other useful data
Seems reasonable. Most biglaw firms are realizing that work is drying up and the good times are gone. Head on over to Bloomberg's podcasts on the state of the legal market if you don't believe me.Anonymous User wrote:I don't know how accurate those numbers are, but I just went through about half of the V20 and all but TWO had decreased their expected SA class size, some very drastically.Anonymous User wrote:Nalp recently (?) posted the expected 2013 Summer Associate class sizes for a lot of places. Re: 2013 SA Class Sizes, School Distributions, other useful data
Sorry, I should clarify. If your firm has a tradition of not giving 100% offers, and they expected only 6 summers, that means they probably had a higher yield than they wanted in terms of people accepting offers. Given the shitty state of the legal market right now, and if all the above is true, I'd say there is a greater than 50% chance that someone will be no-offered.Anonymous User wrote:My firm has 7 people this summer...6 on NALP 2013 "expected."
