Off the top of my head I am thinking...

Isn't SEC considered prestigious/competitive?

Generally yes with the SEVEN STRAIGHT TITLES OMG but I think with Georgia and LSU regressing next year most of the competition will be between Alabama, Florida and Texas A&M, who will be the clear class of the conference.

I probably shouldn't bother asking, but what is an "AI" summer internship??

Artificial Intelligence or Allen Iverson.

In all seriousness, it is basically an ALJ (Administrative Law Judge). They are judges that do hearings for certain areas of law/agencies. You can kind of consider them a judge that slots below a Federal Magistrate Judge.

Thanks! Very helpful. I was voting for Alien Intelligence, myself.

(I'm familiar with summer internships at those agencies but I guess I never saw ones that were specific to working for AIs.)

Disagree. In terms of prestige and degree of difficulty:

State #1
DOJ #2 (non Immigration)
------------ (all others)-----
DoD is easily top 5
SEC ok, but DC only, regional offices are easy
Treasury, ok
EPA maybe
Wouldn't put FCC in the mix

This isn't accurate. DC has way more interns than the regional offices. Headquarters is an intern mill.

Confused by this thread.

Isn't Bankruptcy Court an Article I court? Working with a bankruptcy judge sounds a lot better than the options listed so far. I mean, it's a judge, with a robe 'n all. :D

If we're talking ALJs, as Adonai says, wouldn't NLRB be pretty good? And pardon my ignorance, but do State and Defense really have ALJs? What kind of cases do they decide?

Thanks.

They apparently do. Although, I've never heard of them as being unusual when compared to the better known GSA and DOL versions.
