I'm particularly thinking here of registration and character and fitness fees in California, which are pretty steep, but which it seems might need to be incurred before one has accepted a post-SA offer from a firm. Do they generally take receipts and reimburse after you accept your offer? Are you screwed if you pay these before signing on the line? Or are these generally not reimbursed at all, and only the exam-related expenses reimbursed?

Thanks!
My firm reimbursed me for all such fees and costs. Printed out a copy of the confirmation / receipt page, and sent it in to recruiting.
