50% graduate unemployment rate = 38% decline in applications

So when law schools are forced to start opening the books on their employment statistics, 38% fewer students apply and the application count drops to the lowest point in 30 years.... Now imagine if the schools were forced to completely open up the books and show ALL of the employment data along with a complete accounting of their opperating budgets...

It's hilarious to me that no one ever sees the coming opposite trend. Nobody saw the end of ridiculous over-enrollment, and now that the trend is reversing nobody sees the end of this downward trend. I hope that one day people will realize that trends always reverse themselves at some point, but going forward, I just don't see that happening.

Why is this a surprise. Other than the fact you get a somewhat jaded look by the comments on this site which is frequented mostly by the T14s and top % of the other schools, ask around your class and see how many people have a good job lined up after graduation. Career Services knows it but just can't deal with it and they make it feel like its your fault.
