In terms of subsidization, gym in the building etc. Partcularly interested in S&C, CSM, Simpson, and Skadden. I understand Skadden has an on site gym and the others subsidize to some extent? Are these perks comparable?

This thread rocks. Can we expand beyond listed firms and practice areas?

this is awesome. M&A officially holds up to its bro culture reputation.
Not trying to mock you, OP, just amused. Sorry I don't have anything to contribute to your actual inquiry.

Skadden has a gym in-firm. Rumors abound that it's a weird place culturally, with associates trying to avoid it at times partners would be there, etc.
I believe S&C has a gym in their building as well.
Most other firms are in midtown and provide subsidized and/or discounted memberships, typically at places like Equinox, NYSC, and NYHRC. Some might also do crunch or one of the 24 hour places too.

Mere months ago, this NYU 1L would have settled for bankruptcy work at a lowly V10:
Thanks for taking Qs!! What kind of grades do you need ITE to have a strong shot at Weil/Kirkland from NYU? 3.5? Very interested in doing restructuring work and just curious how well I'd need to do generally.
Now he just got his grades back and probably rocked a 3.6, so it's V5 M&A bros with in-house gym or bust. (Obviously if he had a 3.8 he'd be asking about WLRK) Personally I'm happy for him that his fortunes have risen so.

Because v10 m&a presftige is only one component of the big picture dawg. Need to acquire maximum prestige AND aesthetics to optimize success.
