I have already submitted a writing sample on a few job apps, both of which have deadlines in February, and neither of which I have heard back from. I recently realized that I made a couple of major errors on the writing sample, and was wondering if people would advise sending an updated sample in a subsequent email, or if that would not be a good idea.

I recommend updating your resume too and then sending an email with "updated application materials."
