All the Houston firms I interviewed with waited for grades. Offers at all of them after I sent them though

No clue. Still waiting on Winston Strawn feedback (interview with them a few weeks ago, assuming rejection). Miller Shakman interview still up in the air.

Haven't heard a peep. I don't have all my grades yet, though (hopefully I will by tomorrow). At the holiday receptions over break it seemed like they weren't going to do a whole lot until they saw our grades.

I had a phone interview with a SF law firm partner last week. At the end of the interview she asked if I will be in town. I said I could come over during Spring break but she said that's too late, and she may have the HR to schedule a video conference with me in a office close to my school.

A couple days have passed by and HR still hasn't contacted me. Should I worry or just be patient? Should I offer to fly there on my own expenses?

I'd give it a week and then call to follow up. Out of curiosity, which firm?

I'm not really getting a sense of it from this thread, but have people been hearing back positively for non-diversity, non-IP NY positions? obviously I understand people not wanting to out themselves, but there hasn't seemed to be much movement.

I'm a new anonymous poster. I had phone interviews with DWT in Seattle and Portland and a phone interview with Stoel last week. They said they would let me know this week if I would get flown up to Portland/Seattle. I'm so nervous!!!!

I received about a quarter rejections and the rest silence. About 40 NY apps.

I had 30 NY apps, about 4 said they already filled positions and the rest have been radio silence aside from the occasional transcript request.

Any news from Ohio or Pittsburgh? Had a couple call backs almost four weeks ago and silence for all three.

2L here.

Just want to recommend that all you 1Ls contact general counsels and in-house attorneys at Fortune-500 companies. Also, remember that each subsidiary probably has its own general counsel & attorneys. There is a book called "the directory of corporate counsel" that can help, plus your career services should have a database.

Working in house you'll get to meet many different attorneys at many different firms, which is great come 2L OCI. I choose an in-house over a firm offer 1L summer and have never regretted it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
