What's everyone's opinion of this office ? Do they hire associates/summers for this office? What kind of work is standard?

Tough to have an opinion about a small office. Love HB in general, though. I think they interview for summers, but not sure if they always take someone.

HB seems like a great firm and great place to work, at least in Dallas, although I would still avoid it given the offer rate.

Do you have any specifics on the Dallas office offer rate, by chance?

It's been around 75% past couple of years. Check NALP.

It was above 90% this past summer according to multiple attorneys I talked to in the Dallas office.

I wouldn't use Dallas' offer rate as any indication of the offer rates in San Antonio (or any of their smaller offices). 2 years ago, the San Antonio office no-offered 100% of their summers (granted, it was a small class, but still). There's a reason why they don't report offer rates on an office-by-office basis.

Makes me glad I'll be in the Dallas office this summer... I did think it was weird how they reported a firm-wide ratio.

Can confirm the offer rate in the Dallas office was over 90% this summer. The no-offers, from what I understand, were second-halfers who basically mailed it in and collected a check while they were there.
