I'm just curious about this. Some firms are posting 2L summer associate positions in symplicity while others are asking our career services to identify people with the right stats for open slots and not posing on symplicity.

Does the latter simply not want to be deluged with resumes or is there something else going on?

No, they just don't want to sort resumes and weed through all the lies. Also, they might have good relationships with certain people in CSO and want to reward them for something like a late OCI registration or panel invitation.
