Need to let firm know I dropped class after getting offer?

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Oct 08, 2012 4:13 pm

Hi, I received an offer, and I also recently dropped a class. It's one of those more fluffy non-curved seminar classes (e.g., international sports law, legal history, law in literature). Do I need to tell the firm this on my own? Should I wait for them to ask me for an updated transcript? Will it be that big of a deal if they noticed I dropped the class?

I already gave them a previous version of my class schedule, so they know what classes I'm taking. So it is possible for them to see that I dropped the class. However, there is no mark like "Dropped Class" on my transcript. Thoughts?

100% unnecessary. They didn't give you an offer because you were taking Space Law, they don't care if you dropped it

Haha so did I but that's a different animal. There are usually rules in place to prevent people from doing this, like career services will call your firm if you drop

When you gave them a previous version of your class schedule, was this something that was required of you to do? If so, then, yes, you should probably give them an updated version of your class schedule.
