I think a big reason I struck out is because I only wanted CA...and NY (even though I have no NY ties). CA is just bad right now.

Your friends either killed it, or are amazing interviewers, or wanted IP, or had some kind of substantive work experience. SF is in terrible shape.

Working at a big firm has always been my dream. It's pretty depressing to know I probably will never get that chance.
