Afraid I Misled the Firm on Geographic Preferences during CB

I had a CB today with a firm in a secondary market that does not have a China practice. I noted on my resume that I speak mandarin, and they brought up that that was a good asset to have. I offhandedly agreed, saying it'd be nice to be able to help the firm with my abilities. That led the partner to note that I might be better served in a major metropolitan market, and asked me whether I had applied to any big cities. I quickly reframed, saying "no, this market x is where i want to be, it's where my family is, and using my mandarin is nice, but it is not a prominent focus of my career choices." We then moved onto other topics. Did i majorly fuck up? Should I send an e-mail to that partner making a clarification? Or will that come off as paranoid and obnoxious? I really want this firm, and other than this faux pas, I think I did very well during interviews.
