Hi all,

I'm considering working at a V30 magic circle NYC office this summer and even though I waxed poetic about wanting to stay in NYC and/or other international cities where the firm has offices, the truth is that eventually I would like to go back to my large home market (think LA/Dallas/Chi). The firm doesn't have an office there.

I'm concerned that my chances of lateraling to a firm/in-house gig in that market might be negatively impacted because the legal community of that market wouldn't give much respect to the magic circle firm. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, I'd love to hear what people have to say generally about exit options from magic circle NYC offices.

Do you have another offer from a firm that is a bigger name either in the US or in your home market?
