Concerned about strength of transactional practices and exit options; job security; firm culture; and opportunities to move to a foreign office at some point.

If this is a big concern for you then don't go White and Case.

Milbank by a long-shot. For one, as the previous poster mentioned, White & Case has been going through difficulties. When you don't even start work for another two years it's not something you want to have to worry about.

Milbank, beyond its excellent practice areas, is generally heralded for its excellent culture. It's generally regarded as one of the better top tier NY firms to work at, especially if you're interested in finance, bankruptcy, and international work. For someone who is interested in international, work their projects group should seem very interesting to you. Milbank is also always generally one of the top 10 most profitable firms in the world as well (measured by PPP). Their new Milbank @ Harvard program is also evidence that they are committed to developing and training their associates.

Thank you for the responses!

I am very interested in their projects group. Since, however, it isn't guaranteed that I would be assigned to any one group, do you have any other insight as to the strength of their other transactional practices?

Exit options? At White & Case, a forced exit may be your only option...
