Top Law Schools

I've seen anecdotes spread around in different school's threads- but I'm wondering how people are doing in non-NYC markets. If you don't mind sharing, how many CBs/offers? (Just wondering if I really suck this much!)

Although I ultimately chose an NYC Biglaw firm, I got an offer from a firm in another major market (SF) and callbacks-that-didn't-become-offers in two secondary markets that I mass-mailed in July, because I was terrified I wouldn't get into my top-choice market (New York) and wanted a safety net. The two secondary markets were in the flyover Midwest. Mid-size cities.

Don't want to share too much info, but I barely got any non-NYC CB's despite strong ties to big secondary market that isn't DC and CCN above median. Waiting to hear back from that one here. I don't think it's just you...

FWIW, people at my HYS had more trouble than expected with California this year.

Oh love! What is going on?? I know your sitch (obvi) and you might be having trouble due to lack of ties. And the other place I know you're looking, well....fuck that place. Start telling firms your "fiance" lives there??

HYS Chicago mkt struggles.

CCN Boston/Philadelphia/Miami troubles with strong ties and top quarter grades.
