Anyone who interviewed with BOP get selected as a finalist yet?

As long as nobody else from NSD has heard, I'll try not to freak out quite yet...

Stuck at 'selected for interview' for OCIJ, do I give up hope?

EOIR OCIJ finalist here. I found out after other people who posted here. I'm guessing they are updating it group by group so don't lose hope yet.

Did you OCIJ finalists say that you'd be willing to work anywhere, or did you specify locations?

I specified locations and selected that in addition to those choices, I would go anywhere

I specified locations, but after the 5 slots they gave you, I added a list of about 10 or so more. (I'm willing to go a lot of places, but not quite everywhere. *cough*Oakdale, LA*cough*) (no offense to Oakdale - I'm sure it would still be great experience.)

I did the same thing. I have no desire to spend any amount of time in Lumpkin, GA. No offense to any Lumpkinites on here.

From Deanna on Avue:

Hi, all: HP finalists are being selected by the hiring components. We recommend that they issue most first-round offers by next week, but that is at the discretion of the hiring component. There may be some delays associated with the Thanksgiving holidays. If an offer is declined, components will issue an offer to the next candidate they identified as a finalist. We follow the rules established by the National Association for Law Placement regarding the timing of offers and responses. CURRENT STUDENTS: If you receive an offer, it will be left open for at least 28 days or util December 30, whichever comes first. Offers made after December 15th should remain open for at least two weeks. LAW SCHOOL GRADUATES: If you receive an offer, we encourage the hiring component to allow two weeks for a decision; however, U.S. Attorney's Offices may, as a matter of internal policy, have a shorter response period.

EOIR OCIJ finalist here. I found out after other people who posted here. I'm guessing they are updating it group by group so don't lose hope yet.
It probably depends on how quickly your references respond as well. My references were contacted by email on Tuesday, but I know for a fact that one only responded this afternoon and I'm unsure if another has responded yet. My status is still at selected for interview.

Anybody a finalist for anything besides antitrust & EOIR?

I'm a finalist, and I still don't know that my references have even been contacted - if they have, none have seen fit to tell me. (and there's at least one who I think would let me know.) This whole process is so confusing. (Am not complaining, really, just...venting.)

I was selected as a finalist and I am unaware of my references being contacted. The judge I am currently clerking for has not been contacted, to my knowledge.

Selected as finalist for EOIR. I just checked after seeing this thread, so I don't know when the status actually changed.

No word on whether my references have been contacted or responded yet. I also gave them requests for location (all west coast) but said I would go anywhere.

Good luck to everyone!

edit: for OCIJ

My application status and my application information completely disappeared. Was there yesterday at this time, but no longer. Anyone else in the same boat?
Eek! Having said that, I'm pretty sure this happened to a couple of people last year? No idea if it had any significance for their application status though.
My status is still not visible but I was able to confirm that I am an OCIJ finalist...apparently avue is having technical issues. In terms of geography, I'm limited to the northeast.

Some people posted that they have been selected as a finalist in components besides antitrust and EOIR. Likely that these people aren't willing to state which component for fear of outing themselves.

As of 30 minutes ago, I have been selected as a finalist for OCIJ. Like several others, my references have not yet been contacted. Additionally, for my geographic preferences, I listed the five largest courts and marked that I am willing to go wherever. Good luck to the rest waiting for a status change!

Selected as a finalist for EOIR, but *not* OCIJ. Status was changed this afternoon, but none of my references have been contacted. (I know for sure 2 out of my 3 were not contacted, haven't heard back from the third.)
