I know DEA already sent rejection emails a couple of weeks ago.... because I got one. Oh well.

Just in case people are wondering, DOJ is processing interview reimbursements (they had to call me because I gave the wrong routing number, oops, and once it was correct, they said it would go through by the end of this week or, if it didn't get in before the holiday, by the end of next week - they said they were currently working their way through all the reimbursements).

Through email? I'm still wondering if I should completely count out my non-OCIJ component, since I haven't heard anything yet.

Email. Different components hire on diff schedules...I wouldn't rule it out just yet.

Still haven't heard anything one way or another... no change in my status, no ding, but also no movement for that division/region (that I know of), either.

Sigh.

Does anyone happen to know approximately how many EOIR OCIJ JLCs/AAs there are at the Chicago Immigration Court when it is fully staffed?

Hi guys:

I decided to bag up my DOJ Antitrust application and accept my firm. Good luck to those who haven't yet received offers :)

Hey ya'll, I declined Houston OCIJ-EOIR position. That is one more spot available, best of luck! Cheers!

EOIR Finalist #4 - Received an offer.

My references were contacted before Thanksgiving, one didn't reply until mid-December, and just received an offer this week.

EOIR OCIJ finalist #15 here. Received an offer last week. Midwest region. Seems like they're calling some alternates. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Do you guys think its okay to call the attorney recruitment head and ask about status (been finalist forever, afaik references have not been contacted). I have job offers that I need to accept or decline soon and DOJ Honors is far and away my dream job. I am not willing to just assume that I have no chance since my references have not been contacted this late in the game (even though that is more than likely the case).

Yes, I would say call whoever is the contact person for the component you interviewed with. I don't think you have anything to lose - they're not going to base a decision whether to hire you on whether you call or not, and you've got other offers.

(if you mean someone else by attorney recruitment head, I'm not sure who that is, but I don't see any problem in calling them, either.)

OCIJ finalist (never posted here before). Received an offer for Western region last week and turned it down. Best of luck to those still waiting to hear back!

I called and they pretty much couldn't tell me anything other than "you're still an alternate." I'm just going to wait until the last day to accept other offers and hope for the best.

FWIW - last year I was an EOIR finalist and they literally never called/emailed/contacted me in any way to tell me that I was not getting an offer.

Sooooo does this sequester thing mean that we will lose our jobs? I kind of think so...

Evidence for this, or just random panic?

I'm a person interested in applying to DOJ Honors in 2013, and I'm starting to feel a little worried... does anyone have information regarding the sequestration?

You'll find out what happens with the sequestration in a few weeks, well before the 2014 application even opens.

This appears to have happened to me as well. No notification either way.
