What Type of Interview is This?

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Sep 09, 2012 9:27 pm

Everyone's favorite game!

Mass Mail (thanks keg411 and kalvano!)
Office Interview
One Associate, One Partner
Request to Show Up Early to Meet with Recruiting Manager to Talk About Steps Moving Forward

So... is it a screener....
or
is it a "callback"?

Really, really, really hoping the latter. These guys are the perfect firm for me! Still, a happy quandary to be faced with. Thanks! And seriously, thanks keg411 and kalvano, posters extraordinaire, for your invaluable help!

Is this for a biglaw firm?

If so, I am pretty sure its a screener. I have gotten about 10 mass mail screeners and all but one were this exact format: Interview with one partner and one associate.

somewhat relevant to my interests, but less details known as of now. generally, is a "screener" in the office from mass mail the same in terms of being a first step as a screener on campus such that you would go back to the office for a longer callback if they you make it past round 1?

Sounds like a screener, but it does incorporate some elements of a callback. Give it about 70% effort.
