What exactly goes on here? Is it really just a "get-to-know-you" type interview, similar to screeners? Should I prepare for hypotheticals?

Highlight why you'd be good for the job, know what they are looking for (hint: hard worker, tough/confident, ethical), and be ready to give both an ethical and substantive answer to hypotheticals and you'll be fine. It is not a guarantee that they will ask you hypotheticals, but there is about a 99.9% chance that they will.
