Wanted to get TLS thoughts on the following options:

Latham, STB, White & Case, and Sidley.

My interest is transactional--not sure exactly but most likely cap markets/M&A/PE and less the finance side. International work is a plus, but not deal-breaker. Can speak mandarin, and really enjoyed HK, so possibility of working there is a factor.

Looking for firm health/stability, pleasant (preferably social) working environment, strong/diverse exit options. Undecided about rotational vs free market work allocation, but really looking for strong training programs/feedback & mentoring system.

STB is easily the strongest of those 4. Exit options probably are similar between it and Latham. Latham is obviously known for layoffs, but also many report really liking the culture. White and Case has had some negative rumors about its financial state and Sidley NY does not have the rep of its Chicago office.
