Anyone successfully go through the interview process with the FTC for entry level? What was the timeline? How did the callback go?

Doing an OCI interview with them today. I'll let you know?

Was the guy who had an OCI interview with them. Pretty nice people. I would recommend emphasizing any antitrust work that you've done if that's the part of FTC you're interested in.

Was the OCI screener for entry-level or for 2L summer?

I interned at the FTC in the past few years. Great people. They definitely look fondly upon any economics/antitrust background you may have. I would be as specific as possible and emphasize particular areas of the law that you have studied/worked in during the interview.

Thanks. I actually have a callback scheduled but don't know what to expect.

What was the amount of time between the screener and the CB?

2.5 weeks. They say it can take up to 3 weeks.

No problem. I don't have any antitrust experience a good amount of coursework in antitrust and a relevant masters degree. Would turn down my firm if offered.

I am the same poster who interned there. I had only an academic background as well. Most people I met in entry-level positions had the same sort of background. Culturally, try to show them that you are laid back, but also a hard worker. The structure of the internship call back was 2 interviews with staff attorneys. For permanent positions, I know the interview process is more rigorous and may include many, many interviews. A staff attorney there told me they had over 10 interviews in total. I would imagine that is with people on various levels of the hierarchy.

I appreciate that info a bunch. Thanks a lot.

Do you mean DOJ Honors? Or FTC Entry-Level?

Everyone keep us posted on CBs and interviews with FTC, and please be sure to say whether you're a 2L or 3L.

It would also be nice to know when you applied, whether you did a screener (they weren't set to be at any of my school's career fairs or walkarounds), and your usual resume summary (school, class rank, journal, relevant WE, and plus factors).

Did you do an OCI screener, or did you submit your application through their online portal?

I submitted through the email address on the FTC's website. I did not do an OCI screener. I did do a phone screen with an attorney at the FTC. Received my call back invitation about 1 week after phone screen.

When did you submit your application? How long after that did you get the call about a phone screener?
