What are the exit options for this type of fund work? Were lawyers in this area getting killed during 2008-2009? Is it getting hot now again?

Do you think mezzanine finance work offers "sexier" exit options? Trying to figure out what the best ranking for practice area preferences might be..thesealocust wrote:Exit options include in-house type work for funds. Generally the "funds" work labeled as such that firms do is regulatory and not transactional in nature. M&A or private equity lawyers (occasionally BK lawyers or securities lawyers) do the work on the deals the funds engage in, and are far more likely to have 'sexy' exit options outside of the legal department of a client.
