Thanks for this. Can you please share your stats? I'm at T14 but below median and radio silence. Starting to lose hope because of my grades.

Congrats!! That's awesome and gives me some hope. I know you said you're right above median, but do you mind sharing or pm'ing your GPA? Also, do you put top 50% on your resume or just your gpa? I'm in the same spot but have only been putting gpaAnonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 3:10 pmGot the gig. Not OP but don't put top 50% unless you have something from the school saying such.alhookem2020 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 4:03 pmCongrats!! That's awesome and gives me some hope. lol I know that. Was just wondering if it helps to even put it since top 50% isn't exactly what BL firms preferWubbles wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 11:02 pmNot OP but don't put top 50% unless you have something from the school saying such.alhookem2020 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 4:03 pmCongrats!! Did you trade up after you accepted the 2L firm return offer? How do you tell them?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 9:25 amWhen I traded up this year, I skipped screeners and went straight to CBs. Yes. The 3L offer was in a different market, but all I did was tell my 2L firm in a professional way that I wouldn’t be returning.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 12:06 amDid you trade up after you accepted the 2L firm return offer? Did you have any issues with your law school's career services office? Is there any basis for worrying about reneging on an acceptance in the same market as the new firm?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 10:20 pmYes. Re: The Vale of Tears (3L Job Hunting) (No advice for 0/1/2Ls)
I didn’t tell my school. Frankly, I didn’t want to deal with career services, and I knew that my 2L firm would still recruit at my school regardless. There will always be some degree of risk (recruiters talk), even more so when shopping in the same market, though my experience was firms understood and kept the application process confidential. If you renege, do it in a timely and professional fashion.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 10:23 pmDid you have any issues with your law school's career services office? Re: The Vale of Tears (3L Job Hunting) (No advice for 0/1/2Ls)
Quoted anon here. To the poster asking which firms, you posted anon so I cannot dm as far as I know. The 3 screeners were all from v10s, which gives a pretty clear idea of who it was.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 4:22 pmJust to chime in, the 3L screeners I've gotten (all Texas) have all three come from cold-emailing recruiters directly. That is not to say emailing partners would not also work, but thought I'd mention I am having some success on that front.
Summary of my experience: Cold-emailed essentially every v100 in Texas, but only got screeners from v10. 1 cb. 1 offer.

Keep getting rejected or ghosted despite doing all the things i'm supposed to be doing i'm seriously thinking about applying for two different unpaid experiences b/c at least they're relevant to what I want to do...

Re: The Vale of Tears (3L Job Hunting) (No advice for 0/1/2Ls)
Same and it's depressing as hell. I've sent out over 150 apps. I'm median at a top 25 so just really confused how I can't land anything at all. And yes before anyone asks, my cover letters and resumes have been looked up many times. They are fine.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 2:00 pmKeep getting rejected or ghosted despite doing all the things i'm supposed to be doing i'm seriously thinking about applying for two different unpaid experiences b/c at least they're relevant to what I want to do...

Did anyone get an offer after being radio silenced? I'm curious how long it would take to hear back after a callback?

Yes! My offer came 12 days post callback from a firm typically known for quick turnarounds (then again, this was a very late 3L hire). I also had a screener that led to a CB and offer where the screener did not come for nearly three weeks after I cold-emailed recruiting.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 7:17 pmDid anyone get an offer after being radio silenced? Yes, both offers came in 2021 (but, for those reading this in the future, keep in mind this was on the COVID-delayed timeline and the corporate market is crazy busy).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 12:19 amCongrats! I had mixed feelings after the callbacks I did. I ended up doing three. The one I felt the worst about I got an offer from and the other two I felt really good about. Only one of the two I felt good about turned into an offer, and the other was a next day rejection.
