When following up with mass mails, is it a good idea to mention that you have upcoming call backs in their city and would love to drop by the day of for a bit or the day before or after your callback? I don't know...career services mentioned something about leveraging your callbacks but does this make sense? Thanks

I sometimes say I am going to be in their city on particular dates, but I do not mention other callbacks, or other firm names.

thanks - is that because it is in bad taste to mention other callbacks? (i wouldnt mention firm names)

The blind leading the blind. I do not know since I am in the position as you, but it does strike me personally as a little bit odd.

Having a callback with another firm is not going to make the mass-mailed firm jealous. You don't really have much to leverage, since the mass-mailed firm likely has plenty of options.

FWIW, I mentioned that I was in the area from X date to Y date for callbacks. I didn't name any firms. I added a White & Case callback through mass mail this way.

Credited. It is not to make the firms jealous...it is to make them realize you are a hot commodity vs. visiting family or friends on a casual trip.

I have done this so many times and picked up a few interviews here and there. Of course you are going to get crickets from most of the firms...but you really only want one or two anyways to round out the trip!
