Is this some sort of humble brag or are you such an aspie that you are really planning what to say if you get an offer?Anonymous User wrote:what did you say to the person on the phone after they said "everyone enjoyed meeting you. we want to extend you an offer to join us in the summer"
You gotta be finger fucking me right now, get a clue.Anonymous User wrote:what did you say to the person on the phone after they said "everyone enjoyed meeting you. we want to extend you an offer to join us in the summer"
It's really not that crazy a question, esp. Since partners can get very pushy/ interrogative once they extend an offer.pinkcamellia wrote:Maybe you should say thank you?
Just be normal. "Thank you so much, I really enjoyed meeting everyone today/last week/whatever. I'm going to talk it over with my spouse/fiance or I'm sure you understand this is a big decision and I'd like to take time to consider your generous offer."
They'll probably be like, "Of course, we understand. Your offer letter is on its way to you. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon."
I have not had a single person pressure me to accept an offer on the spot. They call, they say they're extending you an offer, you get/pretend to get excited, they say the letter is in the mail, they say you can schedule another time to come in and talk to more people, you thank them, hang up the phone.Anonymous User wrote:It's really not that crazy a question, esp. The one I started to get people anony-bragging about their offers the fuck out of the SA anxiety thread? Surely he couldn't mean that...f7u12 wrote:Are you talking about the thread she started before she got her offer?Lawquacious wrote:
Why do you fucking non-humble brag by starting a thread about offers? Thought you were cooler than that, but I was wrong.
But really, isn't any phone call with a law student on the other end a bit awkward?arism87 wrote:Ahh! I don't think it's such a ridiculous question. Perhaps the answer is clear (the above sounds pretty standard), but I can imagine that this could be a bit of an awkward phone call. Just remember they're used to it, they don't expect you to be ready to make such a big decision in a moment.
