There were quite a few people at Dechert NYC on 9/8 for callbacks. Has anyone that did a callback that day heard anything?

Thanks! Yes it was NYC but don't give up hope because there was a huge group on Saturday for them to go through.

Also, i think they had a class size of 43 last year. I've heard through the grapevine (which is probably unreliable) that Dechert NYC was wanting a smaller class this year.. Take all of that with a grain of salt, but nonetheless.. offers are going out. I have friends that haven't even done their callbacks yet with Dechert, so I'm sure offers will be going out over the next few weeks, as well.

No, there was 43 in the NYC office this past summer (summer 2012). The summer before (summer 2011) there was 19. Not sure what they are expecting this coming summer.

A friend was told from the hiring partner's mouth: They over-offered the class of 43 students. Too many people accepted. This year they are aiming for ≤ 20.

So is everyone who did a CB the week prior to Saturday 9/8 a reject if they did not get an offer? Can we assume this?

A friend told me that recruiting told him (credible right) that Dechert wouldn't be reviewing CB candidates from 9/8 until next week. I'm hoping that they only reviewed some candidates from 9/8 this week and still have some of us to go through.
