Are these pre screener receptions mandatory? Is it likely ding if you don't attend? Interviewing all day and receptions all night seems like a bit much.

For UT, some invitations are starting to come in, and I'm already realizing that there are going to be strong conflicts and time constraints.

Here are some guiding questions:

How many events is too many in one night?
What is the minimum amount of time you'd spend at any one event?
When should you RSVP for an event?
CSO handbook says 1 dinner and 1 reception a night or 3 receptions. Never leave a dinner early.

BUMP. Are these pre-oci dinners and receptions mandatory? Is it an auto-ding if you do not attend? Seems worthless from a student perspective considering there are usually 5-7 attorneys and 50 law students huddled around them feverishly asking questions.
