Second Semester DISASTER: NO CHANCE?

Post by CamdenLights » Fri Aug 03, 2012 1:26 pm

T-2,

First Semester: A, A, A-, B

Second Semester: B+, B+, B, D (I was sick for this exam)

Summer Semester: Replaced the "D" with a B- (did not study and had to commute 2.5 hours each way 4 days a week)

Overall GPA: 3.33

4 Big law firm interviews: Any chance? Or expect laughter?

Be prepared to discuss the grade drop and give a compelling reason for them to ignore it (and not just the D).

You're not unemployable, but unless that 3.33 puts you in the top segment of your class at your T2 I'd say biglaw is out of the question (as it is for almost everyone at a T2).

Where does a 3.33 put you rank-wise? It varies by school.

Top 30%. I will explain but not expecting squat. It'll be a good opportunity to practice interviewing.
