What's your basis for this assertion, good sir/madam?

I underperformed my numbers (top 1/3, although I did have some interviewing problems), I know people on LR that struck out, and people on LR with 1 offer.

I got my snail mail ding after screener long ago. But at this point if you didn't get a callback after a screener, they prob forgot or it got lost in the mail.

I emailed two firms, which didn't get back to me after screener, that I wanted to see if I can get a callback interview with before I accept another firm's offer. Got email rejections within the hour.

Was this not the case last year?

Class sizes were also a little smaller

Just got another CB with a V100 firm, and one last week with a NALP firm, after basically striking out at OCI. Keep trying!

It's definitely not over yet -- I know of at least three USC students who have gotten CBs over the last two weeks. Keep at it!

Hmm, that's encouraging, I guess.

I wish I knew which firms these were that were still looking.

There are plenty of firms that are still looking. Keep mass mailing. Also, apply to firms in secondary markets where you have ties. I got a few CBs this way. Don't focus solely on LA if you can avoid it. The LA market is competitive as fuck.

True. I have decent ties to the bay and haven't been able to land a single interview there via mass mailing thus far.

Venable and Mayer Brown have interviewed people from resume books within the last week. Make sure you're signed up for all of the resume books. If you have a high GPA or Law Review or both, you should be a much rarer commodity at this point. If I hear of any more interviews being handed out I'll come back and post them. Good luck!

Pisses me off that some OCI firms don't respond at all after the screening interview. Shitty etiquette.
