got to draft an entire motion that was filed in court......only slight edits were made by the supervising partner

also got to take a deposition on my own

if I would've stayed around longer, the partner said he would've let me argue the motion I wrote in court

I billed crazy hours but it was worth it knowing that I was also gonna do everything in the case, including all the fun stuff. Rather than just doing the doc review and writing legal research memos. I can't see myself ever going to a big firm now.

Racking my brain to think of "boutiques" that both (1) pay above market and (2) have SA programs. Unless you count Boies.

I know Keker just started a summer program, but their qualifications are insane. They hire 1 from Boalt, Stanford, Yale and Harvard, and they expect absolutely top grades. Many of their non-summer-hired people have multiple AIII clerkships.

All of this is true (although their summer program is at least five years old), but they don't pay above market.
