That sounds more like a rounded flat top than a buzz cut.

A 5 5/8ths of an inch. That isn't a buzz cut.

does it look professional on you?

no way to generically answer as far as short hair goes. on some people it will look ridiculous and on others totally natural and professional.

Not sure this is helpful since I'm not a guy and have no idea what those numbers mean, but the bottom line in an interview with biglaw is that you want to look "normal" and "professional." This is not the time or place to be the slightest bit edgy or fashion forward. Think "uniform."

The best thing you can do, aside from getting a professional looking haircut (on the short side, nothing radical like, say, an undercut or mohawk) is to get a haircut that suits your face shape. Honestly, so many people get cuts that are wrong for their heads and it looks silly. I know it sounds shallow, but first impressions, you know. So, if you look like John Travolta (wide face, fat cheeks), for the love of god, don't get a crew cut or you'll look ridiculous. I have fat cheeks so I either go up on top (not as professional) or long enough on the sides to balance out my face.

And for the love of god no fades or pencil sideburns. Talk to a good barber.

My two cents
