Texas firms selectivity for laterals

Especially curious about Vinson Elkins and Baker Botts. Schools, grades, previous experience (i.e are they biased against people from other secondary markets)?

Do grades really matter that much for laterals?

Sounds like you're still in law school. Either way, caliber of initial firm matters most.
