So below are the firms I plan to bid on. I'm not exactly sure how to rank these. Clearly the NY ones would go at the top and NJ I'm thinking after 10.

1L GPA: 3.25 - pretty sure Median is around 3.3

Any help in ordering these or adding more firms would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Took the median GPA's out as I was only using them to find the least selective firms anyway. Anyone have suggestions for some additions to this list?

Pick firms with big class sizes and try your hardest to ask quality questions/interview well. There are a ton of people who will be interviewing at the same places and grades will not matter for the handful of people these firms will CB with your GPA range. Also, do not look at the median GPAs for the past as guidance. Those were part of the old curve, so a 3.38 used to be like top third or something like that. You will have to stick out at the screening, in a good way. Even for the places that have median GPAs below yours, there are 20 other people interviewing there that have grades like yours or better and you need to focus on interviewing well. You are wise to focus on NYC.

What gulcregret said.

Also, I would suggest deleting the GPA range from that post. Deleting is a) not going to affect your success at EIW and b) will avoid some of these firms getting pissed at OCS and that information potentially being taken away from students.

At this point, it's all about killing it at your screeners and hustling to get as many as possible outside of the EIW process too.
