When sending application materials via email, is it sufficient to say something to the effect of: Please find attached a cover letter, resume, and transcript for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind Regards, XXX

Or is something more extensive needed? And also, is it preferrable to do mass mailing on a certain day (i.e. Tuesday) or does it not really matter?

That sounds fine. Some OCS offices say you should cut and paste the cover letter into the email body, but others say to do like you are.

ETA: and both are clueless.

if I may ask a semi-related question. I am extremely uncomfortable with "Best" and somewhat uncomfortable with "Best Regards" and "Kind Regards." The first one is meaningless and the latter two make me feel fake and cheesy. How do people feel about Sincerely? Or even

And where the fuck did "Best" come from anyway? All of a sudden it's everywhere. It's just terrible.

I also hate "Best." Doesn't our OCS recommend "Very truly yours" as the salutation? I then transition to "Kind regards" out of habit, but if it weirds you out I'm sure "Sincerely," "Thank you," etc. are all awesome.

thanks Pico. Very truly yours is a bit romantic so I think I'll avoid. Just need to make sure that bucking the trend isn't going to screw me

I never saw "Best" before law school, seriously. But I think it's hilarious because it's like best what? So I sign all my emails like that now, and I've watched and a number of my friends and acquaintances are switching over to best now too.

If you are sending emails, maybe Sunday Night, so it will be the first in line to be opened Monday morning?
